moved the morland saga forward
Book dealt with a quite complex time in history and yet still managed to move the story on without getting bogged down.

An interesting further instalment of the Saga
As with the other books in the Morland Series the story is cleverly entwined with the actual historical incidents of the era. The historical facts are very accurate and add much to the credibility of the story.
