Rhod Gilbert And The Award Winning Mince Pie

For lovers of observational comedy, Rhod Gilbert ranks up there with the all-time greats. This DVD, recorded live at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London is a "tour-de-force" of relentless laugh-out-loud moments. High-spots (and there are many) include the Torch with the Power of a Million Candles, the "ballroom" at Ebbw Vale and his experiences at Knutsford Services on the M6 (where he encounters the famous mince pie), with the whole routine culminating in Rhod reading out an e-mail from the Duty Manager, which is worth the price of the ticket alone. Included are some great bonus items, which include some out-takes and a great short routine about lost-luggage. I urge you to seek out Rhod Gilbert; his sideways look at the realities and absurdities of "real" life is unique, and a real joy.
