Great Remake Of A Classic!
Had a lot of fun finally experiencing this game as I recently got a PS5. The graphical update from the original makes this the best looking Souls game out there right now. Performance wise it's a huge step up and uses the PS5's hardware well. If you're looking for a 1 to 1 remake of the original then I highly recommend this if you're a fan of the series to check it out.
However for me personally it being 1 to 1 from the original is a little disappointing. There's not much in terms of new content and game difficulty felt artificial in quite a few parts of the game. By that I mean the original level design with no changes being in the remake hampers the experience for me. Certain levels in the game forces you to make your way through a lot of enemies just to get back to the level boss if you die. The run back is usually very long due to no additional checkpoints being added in that weren't in the original and running past enemies usually leads to frustrating deaths as you try to get back to where you were previously.
With all that being said I still really enjoyed my time with playing the game. My playthrough took around 30 hours as I was drawn with exploring to find most of the items/loot the game has to offer.
