Easy to read New Testement Translation
The Wilton Translation of the New Testament by Clive C Wilton, I have a collection of bibles, now 11, which I read, study, and cross reference to, at the time of purchase I was looking for a bible in plain English. This Version of the New Testament came to my Attention as Wilton is a family name, so I out of sheer curiosity I purchased this version. Mine is in soft back, the print is clear and concise, the print is laid out like a novel, in as much as there is a decent gap from the line above to the line below, the paper is thick for a bible, and as a result, you cannot see the print on the reverse of the page. All these points really help its readability. The Preface reports that the bible has been translated from the Septuagint, the Vulgate and several Greek texts, the result of this translating is a clear, simple very easy to read translation. This is in part because there are no cross references, although there are in places little explanations at the foot of the page to help the reader to understand what was meant,, in total there are 35, for example:- Acts 10 verse 30: “Cornelius said ” Four days ago I was praying in my house at the 29 ninth hour, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing” . The Little “29” says at the bottom of the page: Ninth Hour = 3PM. These reference's really help the reader to understand the text. Likewise there are no maps, or bible word index, there is however a brief Introduction to each book summarising the historical background and content, which is useful to the reader. I note the inclusion of two "ends" to the book of Mark where many translations will include what is termed the long conclusion, and some present both the long and short conclusions. The Wilton translation includes the long translation from chapter 16 verse 9 as per the Vulgate texts, in the main text of the translation, and includes the short conclusion with no explanation as to why it is presented and why there could be two ends. The explanation is that some ancient texts include the long, while others include the Short conclusions, it is evident that neither are in the original writings. While we ponder this, there are little odderties about the translation that perhaps some readers won't spot, or think there is a typo error in the printing, which I feel should of been explained... for example: note the verse gap at Matthew 17 verse 21, and several other places, this translation rightly omits verses or additions made by copyists which, for example are included in the King James version. It is noticeable, that like many New Testament versions that the Divine name as such is missing, (except, for instance Revelation 19 where in shouts of praise Hallellujah = Praise Jehovah ) in total the Divine name should appear 237 Times. As to why? Like the Old testament The ancient copyists have deleted Jehovah's name. The introduction to the "Divine Name King James" translation points out at Matthew 6 verse 9 Jesus Said “Hallowed be thy name” not Hidden be thy name! All of this said, I feel this is a good starter New Testament bible, and interesting as a cross reference bible for those of us who have a collection of bibles, I am sure readers of this translation will find it easy to follow, all be it somewhat over priced in the UK.
DC Inustrial Universal Regulated Switching Power Supply LED Strip CCTV 12V - 2A

Excellent, compact, 2 Amp 12 Volt PSU
The Power Supply unit is small and compact, has 3 mounting holes , two on the base / bottom and one on a side, no information is given on the mounting hole size, I think its about 3mm. This Power supply unit can b e supplied with AC power from about 93 Volts to over 260 Volts AC, as is common with these supplies, as such there is no 110 / 220 Volt switch- its not needed. Mine is run from 243 Volts, +/- supply variations, the Common AC power in the UK. The voltage connections are all on one edge, AC + is on the far left and DC + is on the far right, the Voltage connections have a common back to them and sidewalls between them, preventing wires poking in to the PCB component area, and the other wire connections. The connector screws tighten down well on to the voltage conductors, and the Earth pin has a low resistance connection to the case as expected. The 0Volt line of he DC is not connected to the Earth of the AC power supply, as expected. The lower case form part of one side which is the heat sink. The top part of its case is held down to the base with two bolts. The unit came well packaged and was in good order when it arrived, it comes without any data, Its Rated at 24 watts: 12 Volts at 2Amps. Mine lacked a CE Sticker. After being on for 8 hours at 12 volts at 150mA, the heatsink part of the case was barely tepid, after being loaded with a constant 650mA load for 5 hours the heatsink was warm, but not excessively so. Bearing in mine mine was tested just siting on the bench not fitting inside any box - you may need to think about cooling yours with a small fan, if you are thinking about constant loading in a warm environment. The underside of the PCB has an insulating sheet to prevent Shorts to the case, I noted one leg of an electrolytic capacitor was rather long, and almost touching the insulating sheet, I simply folded it a bit to keep the end away. There is no changeable AC fuse on board, but there is a Green LED to show its producing Power. On arrival the voltage adjustment was set to give 11.91 Volts DC - ( no load ) on the DC output terminals - good! The control adjusts it from 8.76Volts to 14.15 Volts DC, ( no load,) meaning it can be set anywhere in this voltage range - a rather useful power unit is this one. I checked, and it gave up to 1.5Amps with no problem, as expected as its rated at 2 Amps, a with no variation of the DC supply voltage The I have soak tested it for 16 Hours at 150 mA with no variation of the DC voltage. I found at 12 volts, with no load, it had 50mV of ripple at 5mS, and with a load of 150mA 50mV of ripple at 1mS, all of this says nothing special, and to be expected form such a supply, Ive not looked at radio interference issues, however It can't be used as it is, there are exposed AC connections! And no support for the AC cable. It must be used in a case of some sort: an Earthed metal case or enclosure! Such a case will help to reduce Interference issues. It will of course need a Suitable AC fuse.
VonHaus Large 20L Dehumidifier – Extracts Damp & Excess Moisture from the Air

Dehumidifier that really works
Ive had mine two weeks, thus far I feel This unit really does remove water form the air, in the first day of operation mine removed a tank-full,. I work it about 15 hours a day, and is now needing to be emptied every other day. I've known other makes not do too much work. I'm impressed by the " stop what it's doing and defrost" , then recommence , so no freezing up!, like my last one. The instructions don't need to be read, just look at the controls and set using the "mode control" . Mine is set to "auto" and that does everything@ humidity too high- it speeds up, humidity low it slows down. While the humidity readings don't agree precisely with what my wall mounted humidity meter says, I can say it does remove the condensation and dry's the bathroom a treat. Im pleased with that. You even get a tube to drain off the water, if you want to run it till it dies, thus there is no need to return home to find you have both condensation, and a tank-full, this tube is a really good idea for those who just want to run it in one location, the instructions and even the advert are a bit unhelpful on this subject. A large multicoloured LED humidity meter is on the front panel is loud and proud so as to say, and the readout is duplicated on the top panel in the form of two 3/4" high green LEDs. Noise: don't try and sleep with it on, if you want silence turn it off, the draft it creates would likely annoy anyway, however it's at it's most noisy when its defrosting or on full power.
