Saturn Aura Transmission Shift Cable Repair Kit w/ bushing Easy Install

Fixed my Saturn Aura with a minimum amount of cussing....

Well thought out product. Was for my '07 Aura... only problem was the cable end was way down in the engine bay. After fumbling for a while, realized I could pop off the connector end off of the cable with a plastic tie. Then it was a simple matter of putting the connector and bushing in a vice, install the bushing, then put the connector back on the car. Kit was probably over-priced somewhat - but - since I didn't need to bring the car to a mechanic I didn't mind.

Love this item

I was using an electric soldering gun, and it stopped working. Was looking for something a little more portable - and - higher heat as the electric never seemed to generate enough heat to solder the wires I was working on. Also, since I do a lot of automotive work, was looking for something a little more versatile. Bottom line - I wish I had bought this unit years ago - gets hot in no time, solders anything I've tried so far, and the heat shrink attachment is a real plus as I was using matches before for the same task. Beware when using the "blowtorch" mode as the flame is invisible and as such it's easy to get burned (as me how I know!) - but that was my stupidity rather than a slam on the unit. I give it two thumbs up - I use it every weekend for my various home projects.
