Accesible and fun skirmish wargaming
Dragon Rampant allows you to build a skirmish based fantasy warband to play out small but fast and fun games, perfect for a more relaxed evening of gaming. The rules are clear and fairly concise, with some room for your own additions, and warband selection is not entirely rigid allowing you to make use of existing models, or to build a warband to your liking. There is not an over abundance of rules and more importantly army and unit types so you don't need to remember whole tomes of information to be good at the game, it is more down to skill and the odd bit of luck.
