Cheap decent coilovers for gen 3 camrys! Drop isn't the lowest you might expect.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich First time buying coilovers coming from OEM struts and springs, when I saw the price was a ⅓ or ¼ of what these go for online I jumped the gun and thought it was the perfect time to switch to these.
Packaging is okay, nothing special other than instructions for installation and a warranty with some ads for some of maxspeedingrods products. Coilovers come preassembled with also having the "pre-load" adjusted from factory, it just needs to be tightened when installing.
The quality overall is really decent for the price you pay. Although the listing omits some features there is some nice little extras on these.
Front has adjustable camber plates (which I'll never use as I would have preferred these on the rear ones) rear does not come with any.
Also another thing that threw me off was it's adjustable dampers. It may look like it's there for looks but trust me when I say it actually works you can adjust the stiffness or softness in 20+ clicks. It won't change dramatically your ride comfort but rather a slight tune for some nice balancing.
These are adjustable on height but sadly these don't have lowest of the low setting for slamming these camrys, so if your looking for that don't expect it to scrape but it does go lower than stock.
So after installation I had forgotten what new suspension felt like. Now I will say though these are a bit bouncy I don't know if it's the spring or really the nature of the beast of using coilovers in general but it takes a while getting use to it after some adjustments.
Coming from a noob I'd say installation was intermediate but I'd have a suspension shop inspect and make sure your riding right.
Also if your like me and never changed outer tie rods, sway bars, ball joints or front bearings take the time to inspect and replace these as they will to some degree affect ride comfort due to the nature of coilovers.
Overall if it's your first time changing suspension or looking for an upgrade from stock get these it's hard to beat the price!
Just remember what your getting into these are far from soft OEM ride comfort.
