Decent lock undermined by spring-loaded locking pawls
My initial impression of this lock was positive, it's a beefy 50mm, with a nice 10mm shackle, with what appears to be weather-resistant construction. However, Abus has inexplicably not including ball beating locking pawls in this lock, which severely reduces its usefulness. I was hoping to use it to lock up a small kicker engine on a boat, but it's probably better used only to secure a garden shed from opportunistic teenagers.
