This is an excellent read, following up the story of the Cork Fire Brigade which Pat Poland ably began in his previous volume. Meticulously research and well illustrated, anyone with an interest in the local history of Cork, in the revolutionary period in Ireland, and/or in fire brigades should strongly consider having this volume on their shelves.
