Brother QL-700 - good but needs extra setup steps (Win10)

The printer is well made and when you get the software setup (Windows 10) it works well. The issue is it needs to have the firmware updated before it will work correctly. These direction will help resolve this problem 1) In order to install the following Brother program, ensure that the Status lamp is lit Green and the Editor Lite lamp is off 2) Find a small update program by Brother called (PtUpdater) - this collects all of the updates necessary including the critical update of the firmware for the unit. This small program also offers; a. A collection of templates b. P-touch Editor 5.1 program

I wired the unit according to the instru...

I wired the unit according to the instructions, but it did not work. The display was functional, but the output wouldn’t turn on, even though the voltage was sufficiently high for the unit to operate. I adjusted the high and low voltage cutoff settings, but the unit still would not activate the output.
