QUAD 306 still the closest approach to the original recording
after having used the 405-2 with its excellent sound, I needed a QUAD with similar characteristics but less power for a smaller room. This amp fits the bill. Same quality sound with clear highs, life-like mids and solid bass and surprisingly plenty of distortion-free power to spare with its 50 watts RMS at 8 ohms. Uses the current dumping technology as in the 405 but with a toroidal transformer and 4 electrolytic capacitors. Another quality product bringing you closer to the original sound at any sound level.
