A MUST HAVE!!
I bought this movie even though I have seen it many times. It has a great plot and great acting. There wasn't any real "cheesy" moments in this film. Its story is good for fans of this genre and also pretty heartfelt at the same time.
AUDIO: There isn't much I can say for the soundtrack other than it is phenominal. The DTS track is 2nd to none. If you don't have a DTS decoder then this disc wouldn't do you much good as this track is alot better than the standard Dolby Digital track. Not to mention this movie takes full advantage of the surround channels and DTS is notorious for having a more spacious feeling on the surround channels. If you really like good AUDIO in your movies then this disc is for you.
VIDEO: This is a decent transfer that has been around for a while and seems to have stood the test of time. This movie came out before the digital video era began and the transfer looks like a movie that has come to DVD just this year.
OVERALL: This disc is fantastic for Vidophiles, audiophiles and movie buffs alike. In short, this is a must have disc reagrdless.

Not for newcomers.
This is a decent quality sci-fi but if you've never seen any of the animated series on MTV back in the 90s you MAY be lost. I pretty much knew what was going on before I put this in my DVD player and liked the movie for the most part.
SOUND:
The soundtrack on this disc was better than average. Good surround effects on flying objects and good low end on explposions. It was better than movies that were recorded before the 5.1 digial era. However, nothing to really write home to mama about.
VIDEO:
The picture was as good as any DVD I've seen with a great transfer. I can't really elaborate much since I have a 4:3 standard television in which everything looks good to me on it and any flaws that may have existed on this transfer are not easily seen on a 31" CRT television.
OVERALL:
This is decent movie for most sci-fi fans and a must for a fan of the series. I wasn't a big fan of the series but still liked the movie.

Another knockout for Mila.
If you're a fan of Mila Jovovich or just a fan of futuristic ass-kickers then this is your movie. Don't expect the best of plots or acting. This is a movie based on martial arts, modern warfare and technology. Not much else to say about this one except for the fact that I enjoyed it very much. And the Bluray format does it ALOT of justice.
