Strengths and weaknesses
This is a great resource hypothetically. I bought these for my son, but from a teacher's perspective I have some issues. Some basic word families are missing (-et). In addition, words included in some word families are too advanced. For example, if you are at the "-at" word family level (one of the first a child would try), you are not ready to read blends and digraphs. However, words like "flat" and "chit-chat" are included. I'm using them but wish they were split into two bundles: one set with beginning word families, and ones with more advanced families, rather than being in one resource.
