Fantastic for beginner or advanced!
This hardwood pad is more rigid that similar rubber ones, and really protects your palm from the strike of the pressure flaker tip. Fantastic for the beginner or advanced knapped who is striving for more uniform flake scars.

Excellent tool made by the best of the best!
This tool is AWESOME! Truly designed with high quality materials, and it's absolutely apparent as soon as you pick it up! The rounded tip doesn't interfere with line of sight, and the ergonomic design is both easy on the wrist, and the palm. The copper alloy rod, wow! What a difference in hardness and durability! If you're using a cheap one, stop killing yourself! This tool replaced every single pressure flaker in my to-go bag! I even took the rod out and pounded the other end (Per video instructions) and I use it for notching! Can't go wrong with any Stone Culture / American Lithic Product, especially with their money back guarantee!

Keeps time perfectly well, and works awesome for lamps to deter break-ins while we are away! In fact we now have three of these!
