Not as good as the book or documentary!
This film was ok - Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman were great as always. Having read the book, felt that this film does not come close to representing either the horrors that PoWs experienced or the touching and inspiring reconciliation of Lomax and Nagase.
Sadly, I think this is a missed opportunity by the screenwriters and director to make something really powerful.
