Fraggle Rock Season 2

Fraggle Rock is a kiddy show starring Jim Hensons muppets. The project came from Jim Henson before his death and was shown on HBO in the eighties. Fraggles are childlike (maybe the equivalent of a 10 year old?) muppets who sing, dance, and play the day away in whimsical underground caverns. The themes of the show are sharing, finding your inner strengths, combating kiddy fears and neuroses with folksy singing and lovable characters. Some of my favorite bits on the show feature a fraggle named Uncle Traveling Matt who is exploring "outer space" (aka the human world) that we all inhabit. He is adept at comedically pointing out the follies and odd habits of humanity with a gentle curiosity. The most annoying thing about the Fraggle seasons is the poorly designed packaging (seriously difficult to get to the disks and even more annoying to close the packaging. I have a 5 year old who is completely enamored with the Fraggles. Good child appropriate themes, minimal violence (there is a "Gorg" character who represents intolerance that occasionally catches a fraggle, but they always escape safely in the end. Roseanne Barr is way more scary than the Gorgs), super show if you have younger kids brought forth from the same creators and muppetteers that did The Muppet Show.
