VW Audi Skoda Haldex AOC filter oil service kit rear axle clutch 4 generation

Haldex Filter & Oil

Not normally someone who would do reviews however I feel the need to stress the importance of this part that requires changing on a VW/Audi/Skoda 4Motions. Having looked at Haldex website and their recommendations on service intervals for my rear Haldex system fitted to my 4Motion vehicle, I initially contacted VW/Audi to acquire the parts for them, only for them to say that they do not supply or replace the filter but only replace the Oil!!!!!😱 However having located this supplier the parts supplied are excellent and fit perfectly (parts arrived a day late), the filter is a bit of a juggle to get in due to the new seals but that is normal. Please be aware if you are going to tackle this job that you will need VCDS (diagnostic equipment) so that you are able to activate the Haldex Pump so that to bleed the system/pump following changing the Oil & filter. A lot more Oil comes out upon changing the filter than if you were to change just the Oil. An important note for everyone.......I cannot stress the need to replace these filters, this having started to feel the loss of smoothness in the drive of the 4Motion. Upon replacing the filter it is no wonder VW/Audi are seeing Haldex failures as upon removal the filter was clogged with gunk and a waxing type of coating. This is an obvious reason for the potential failure over time to the Haldex pump which becomes clogged and then unable to supply/pump the Oil around the clutch plates. I have added photos for you to see the clogged up filter, makes a pretty good case!! For those of you who wish to know, the filter is from my 2011 VW Tiguan 4Motion which has done 70,000 miles. It had a previous Haldex oil change with VW at 30,000miles.
