Good Seed
I feed wild and what are becoming rare birds. Whether city or country, it is a difficult life for these beautiful, very cautious birds that mate for life. Spread in say, 5 square feet and somewhat thin after they find the seed, Volkman Seed Avian Science Finch is a blend that stays apparently somewhat consistent year round. Other well known companies ship a "summer blend" and it is not always obvious until received. Because this Volkman has value, a thin coating spread in an area protected from their predators will provide a delicious variety and the vitamineral supplements within makes this desirable food. The ingredients list sunflower but I found them under-represented here. Because that weight is in other seed, it isn't bad. Summer ants add protein. Supplement with sunflower meaties from Feathered Friend as needed. I recommend this product.

Great first impressions
This product and its price, here and elsewhere may reflect true inflation or the lack of competition but I do recommend purchasing this in the color you seek.
It is not overbuilt but made well and with care. Quality will last an owner a lifetime - including a transfer to a new sink, if desired but there is some trust in my review as this has NOT yet been installed. I therefore cannot comment on leaks now nor long term but it was one of the reasons for spending extra - saving water by keeping it in the sink for as long as desired.
The finish also, should match my sink now and for a long time (also not possible to know yet),
