Info
While growing up the son of a S. Louisiana cypress sawyer, I learned woodworking from an early age. Because it didn't pay a whole lot, I chose to work the petrochemical industry and learned piping, machining, instrumentation, and electrical trades. Some I'm an expert, and some I know enough for my own needs. I acquired a natural science degree form LSU, lived long enough to retire, and now I enjoy refurbishing and repurposing woodworking tools and equipment. Over the years, I've devised dozens of gadgets to make woodworking faster, safer, and easier. I attempted a couple of patents, but realized those are for entrepreneurs who intend on starting a manufacturing business, but American labor costs are too expensive for the rest of the world to afford, and China will never be a part of mine. Maybe I'll publish them someday in my memoirs....

Best direct table mounted router out there, but still has two serious shortfalls.
Wrote a very detailed review, but when I clicked submit, I got buffered indefinitely, and when I clicked leave page in the dialog box, the text was lost. After one, I'm done. Nice going, gurus.

Woodworker's Dream Guide
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich To all woodworkers:
After sifting through many books on Ebay that cover the basic shop operations that most seasoned woodworkers may remember or not, I stumbled across this book that appeared to have been overlooked by everyone in the market. It was one of those "odd makes" not in a set or offered by any other Ebay seller. Judging by the description and the number of pages and size, it seemed to be what I was looking for as an advanced reference book for my library.
Jackpot!!
After purchasing the book cheaply as a BUY IT NOW, I was anxious to get my hands on it to see what was between the pages. When it came in, I was even more surprised to see it is really a treasure that the authors spent many hours putting together. Each topic covered is fully explained in detail by two guys who seem to be experts at what most of us are still trying to learn. It is well worth a sizable price ($30-$40)that gets straight to the heart of woodworking without all the introductory sideshows and color picture rhetoric that experienced woodworkers don't need unless they're resting in front of a wood stove while the glue or finish dries. And who has time for that?
If I recall correctly, the book has been used for teaching woodworking at an intermediate level and is an excellent reference book because it is organized, to the point, and very detailed, and as well as educational to the first tme user.
If you don't have a copy, set up a saved search to find one on Ebay. It's unlikely you will find one in a one time search.
