Genuine Parts
When purchased from reliable eBayers (always check feedback), these spares which are becoming fewer for older models will do the trick nicely. They definitely fit Hornby Dublo diesel and EMU wheels.
Check also the spare parts lists of the original diesel or EMU and often the part number is different, so be aware of that.

For use with Woodland Scenics track cleaning arm
The only real proper use is with the Woodland Scenics track cleaning kit with the swivel arm. They’re pretty durable, and will last quite a few cleans. I actually found if you use them “upside down” in the arm, they last longer. They seem not to vary too much in price between retailers either.

A Good Read
One volume of three featuring Branch Lines of Northumbria in the steam era.
Excellent pictorial coverage and entertaining plus historical captions make this a great volume. Plenty of not seen before pictures, of engines, long closed stations and freight operations of a long gone era.
Excellent book for modellers of the region (no picture perfect GWR scenes here!). Highly recommended. Solid card backed books that are well suited to a railway buff’s collection.
