Great classic show, fantastic Blu-ray transfer
Long time Prisoner fan and saw the Blu-ray edition for the first time at the Prisoner convention in Wales. This is one of the best digital transfers from the original to high-def I have ever seen - and this being a TV show from the late 60s. The images and colors are truly vivid and make the surreal world of the village seem even spookier. And yet it retains that old television look too. And that's just the Blu-ray part. Not much more to say about one of the most original and unusual shows of all time - a real classic that has aged well. Beyond the themes of freedom, free thought, one's place in society, and the notion of a big brother surveillance state, the show was prophetic technology wise. Ubiquitous cameras to keep tabs on everyone (including inside tv screens), wireless phones, enormous video screens, etc. Definitely worth owning this jewel.
