Tuskeegee Decals

I am enjoying these decals. They release in water much, much faster than the kit decals and their thinness means they lay down into detail very nice. So far I have had no issues with the product at all. My one concern is the color of the anti-glare panel in front of the cockpit although that may be just a different shade used by this squadron. Overall very happy with this set. Pictures show the WIP.

Beautiful details

This is a lovely item, as a stand alone kit it is outstanding. The fit leaves something to be desired and it takes a lot of work to get it to fit into the recommended kit. Recommended for the advanced modeller.

1/72 Bristol Mercury engine resinkit

This is beautiful. That's what I thought when I first saw it and what I think now. It's daunting, an engine kit this size with 22 parts, all of them tiny, but the casting and detail is truly excellent. Assembly was straight forward, attach the cylinders to the crankcase, then the "Y" shaped tubes the the rear of the cylinder banks and here is where I ran into a bit of trouble. If anything, it is a bit over engineered and I ended up cutting off the aligning pins on these pieces and letting the super glue hold everything in place. I have stopped now awaiting actually obtaining the kit the engine is produced to fit into, but this little jewel is an inspiration to build a great airplane model around it. Recommended for the experienced modeler but you will be happy you undertook the task.
