Very solid, enjoyable portable DVD player

My second DVD player: first was a freebie. For the price, this is an excellent not-too-little player. Image as expeceed, sound quality is very good, and it doesn't need external speakers to be decently audible. Clean and handsome--and works well! All extras included. Only downside is I'm having some trouble working remote (battery?)--but I didn't have one w/my previous DVD player and sort of prefer not using one anyway. Also sometimes a little "extra" sound of whirring, but not distracting. Good buy.

All-round Epic Brilliance

Agatha Christie/Hercule Poirot's "Death on the Nile"? Of course it's brilliant. The screenplay is superb, the on-location scenes in Egypt are stunning. And the cast--let's just list some of the cast: Peter Ustinov, Bette Davis, Angela Lansbury, David Niven, Mia Farrow, Olivia Hussey, just a marvelous (if sadly murderous) dramatic experience.
