HUGE, rough, and cheap feeling.
3 von 4 finden das hilfreich I own plenty of Daiwa reels and this reel, right out of the box is a disappointment. Firstly, it's massive. Its a "4000" size reel that is twice the size of my Daiwa BG 4500 and slightly bigger than my Penn Slammer 6500. It's absurd. Second, it feels and looks cheap. It's got a squeak when the anti-reverse is on yet the thing is slathered in a white grease. This thing really looks like a $20 Shakespeare reel. The drag isn't sealed and whatever the function of the cage behind the spool is, I imagine it don't last long before sand or dirt destroys it as it rides on tracks in the bail that are overly greased and completely open. Bottom line, I'm sorry i wasted my money on this thing and i haven't even put it on a rod yet. I'd try to return it but it's probably a hassle. I'll just put it on the shelf with the standby reels.
