Good chartplotter, could use better maps
I have had previous experience with this model, I so judged that the balance of screen size and price were acceptable. I was surprised that the chart provided for the SE US lake I will be using it on (Lake Thurmond) is not as detailed as what I had previously seen with this model of chartplotter. I did find a map upgrade card on ebay for it, but I did not expect to need it. Also, it has no way to input the approximate location so help it get it's first fix when you turn it on. It just asks you whether you are near the last place it got a fix. The internal antenna does work, but the accuracy is improved by use of an external antenna.
