Useful for customising cutters
I annealed, shaped and simply heat treated the bar to fashion the cutter I required for an internal 1/2" acme thread with adequate results.
They were delivered on time.

Remarkably useful
This has proved to be one of the most frequently used measuring instruments I use to make a quick measurement of sheet metal, wire and rod. It is surprisingly accurate for the purpose, particularly with thin sheet such as 0.42, 0.48 roof sheeting and 0.55 and 0.6 flashing where it is often difficult to measure because of burring of the edge.
It is also handy to check the thickness of steel stud section to be sure if it is 1.2mm or 1.6mm thick, when used on external walls.
