This translation really helps things be come to light
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I have many translations. But I have mainly switched over to this translation as my main reading bible. If you sit down with your King James and look up the key words in the Greek an Hebrew. Then you read through the Amplified you will find the Lockman foundation has already done this for you. They have added this info into the readable text in a way you know it is the definition. When this is read in with the text of the verse it really helps one understand meaning of the verse. They do not add this information in a side note. They have a well thought out way of making it part the readable verse. This way you do not have to stop the flow of reading to look at the notes on the side. It is just part of the flow of the verse. Very nice. If you dont have one of these translations it is really worth getting one.

The size of this is great, and the NLT translation surprises me at well they did with it. I was thinking this would be good for folks who do not read well. But I must say the layout of this product is cluttered. I have had a few friends who do not read well take a look through this and they found it hard to deal with. The way the text is laid out was the problem. I think the publisher was trying to use bolding and italics along with other fonts to make parts of the text stand out. For those that do not read well this brings clutter and confusion. Those same friends had no problem with a NLT bible turned to the book of John. They had no problems reading that.

Oswald Chambers always makes me think and study
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The person that wrote this book had some insight. Though this was published in in 1993 it was written before 1915. So this is not filled with today's self help mombo jumbo. This is very old school teaching. When read along with the Word it can open some understanding that you may have not thought about before.
