Great value for money
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I bought this item to replace an aging, though still functioning, Humax Foxsat HD. The setup was straight forward, with only one slight glitch, when connecting to ITV Hub. But after powering down and restarting the Humax and router this problem was solved.
An unexpected bonus was the ease with which this box was transformed into a fully featured PVR. Simply by plugging in a 500GB hard disk (recycled from an old Sky box and mounted in an externally powered enclosure) into the USB port, the box assumed all the functions of more expensive models - pausing, rewinding, scheduling recordings, etc. No fiddling required, it just worked.
The television guide is excellent and the ability to go back over a number of days and to watch programmes from the beginning, when channel hopping, (with certain channels) is great.
Another unexpected bonus came with the media share App in the Humax menu, this immediately picked up my Serviio server, and allows me to play the media stored on my desktop PC.
After a month of use, the normal TV, catch up, media share and YouTube have all worked flawlessly.
The only thing con I have found is the delay in booting-up from cold, about 15-20 secs or so but I can live with that;
