The Title is exactly right and describes the book well
A truly excellent volume. A must for all Steam Locomotive enthusiasts or model makers especially those interested in North American Steam. Absolutely packed with brilliant technical drawings and photographs. An excellent addition to any enthusiasts library. Quite a weighty tome, but there again it needs to be. Some better known types are missing like NYC Hudsons & U P Big Boys, however as this is volume 2, I expect that these are covered in volume 1.

Steam Locomotives of Japan, "says exactly what's in the tin" !
A very interesting insight into the world of Japanese Steam locomotives. Many steam locomotive enthusiasts in the U K or Europe in general have been somewhat at a loss regarding lack of general information on Japanese Steam locomotives from the National 3ft 6 ins network. This publication goes part way to alleviate that. A welcome edition to any steam locomotive enthusiasts library.

The title explicitly describes the contents of this publication !
A great collection of coloured photographs taken on Locomotive Club of Great Britain tour of South Africa back in 1973. Each caption has a brief description of the locomotive concerned. Not all photo's were taken in South Africa, for instance there is a wonderful picture of GL Bayer Garratt 2352 installed in the Manchester Museum of Science & Industry, following its repatriation to the City of its Birth. An excellent portfolio which would not be out of place on any loco' enthusiasts bookshelf.
