Unique Twist on the Romance/Harem Anime Genre(s)
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Amagami SS (and Plus, which is Season 2) is a great romance anime that I highly recommend. Amagami SS (and Plus) is based off of the Japanese visual novel series of the same name. The story revolves around a high school guy named Junichi Tachibana. Two Christmases prior to the start of the first season, Junichi had his heart broken after he was stood up on a Christmas Eve date with a girl. He is now in his second (of three) year of high school and is wary of falling in love again and dislikes Christmas. However, things begin to change for the better. This anime is unique because it shows Junichi falling in love with 6 different girls, with the twist being that he falls in love with a different girl in multiple timelines. Each "arc" (3-4 episodes long) shows the story of him falling in love with one of the girls and getting a happy ending. Amagami SS+ (Plus), the second season of the anime, continues the story after he starts dating each of the girls in their respective timelines, with a bonus episode at the end for heartfelt bonding with his little sister (technically a mini side-route, but it goes nowhere).
I loved this anime when I first watched it and I'm glad to have bought both seasons of it on DVD for such a great, low price! I highly recommend this anime to fans of the visual novel and fans of the romance genre. Be warned, there are some ecchi moments/scenes every so often, but it's mostly just in season 2.

Entertaining and Heartwarming Story
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The story is a unique one and combines moe goodness, a linear story with some slice of life elements, and the theme of family sticking together. Like most anime, the main cast of characters are middle schoolers or high schoolers, though a sizable amount of the overall cast consists of adults, which is slightly refreshing due to such an aspect being uncommon in most anime. There are some ecchi moments scattered throughout the story, but it's by no means the main focus and it normally doesn't last more than a few seconds; it also relates to the characters without functioning entirely as fan service.
I never get tired of (re)watching this anime and I definitely recommend it to those who enjoy semi-serious, heartwarming stories and slice of life anime (since it has some of those elements to it at times).
