Polaris 360 Before You Buy

Replaced Jandy RayVac which is a far superior pressure side pool sweep in every aspect. The Polaris 360 staggers on good random coverage of the pool bottom and requires twice the pump run time. The unit does very poorly against walls and in corners. The 9-100-1014(Velcro)bag does a good job in collecting fine particles. The bag is difficult to completely clean out debris. I swap out a clean spare bag. Installation conversion was relatively easy, including tuning the pressure and overall assembly. The 3/4 inch to 11/2 wall adapter is not included. The wheels easily slip and do not track when approaching an upward slope of a wall or corners. The reverse valve does pull it out, but often tracks right back to the same spot. I purchased extra filter bags and the C10 wheel kit to assist with traction. Overall the unit is a 3 at best.

Better product description needed-check values do not hold-they leak back

The check valves do not hold when installed properly in the correct flow direction, they leak. The product should list a verified PSI for the check valve. The application was used for an Ozone feed into the suction side of a water pump. The check valves do not hold the back pressure, and leak air causing the pump to lose prime. May be great for some applications, but certainly failed as a check valve in this application.
