Good SF book

The book had an interesting and imaginative story line that I have not come across before which I enjoyed. A bit shorter than I expected, or perhaps it was so compelling that I read it quicker than expected. Impossible to tell as the large type obviously massively increased the number of pages (283) A pity Tubb decided to end it where he did, I think he could have extended the story quite easily given his imagination, but it was a logical place to end and the story was complete. There might be a continuation as a short story. Since I dislike short stories I am never likely to find out. Interestingly for a book written in the 1950's privacy is an important part of the ships law!

Amazing quality - engaging character and stories.

Amazing picture quality for a series recorded 49 years ago, so good to hear the dialogue without it being drowned out by the music. The series has lost nothing in the 49 years that has passed and the stories till bear relevance to today. I am so glad I made this purchase

One of the great war films

A war film that will appeal to those who prefer a story solely concerned with war and no 'side' stories about wives and girlfriends etc. Great acting and amazing photography on a mountain, given the limited climbing equipment in the 1950's. The film must have been the inspiration for the later film "The Dirty Dozen", methinks. Excellent value for money.
