Interesting Premise But Now Disproved

Hooper has devoted a large part of his life to proving the link between polio vaccination and the spread of HIV. Hooper isn’t a pseudoscientific nut but he cherry picks his information and ignores recent compelling evidence that disproves his theory. I would suggest you read the chimp and the river as an alternative to this.

Another Great Book by Dolin

Dolin is fast becoming my favorite non-fiction author. Lighthouses are are a classic part of American history just like Whaling is and this book is a great history of those lighthouses from the earliest ones in colonial America to present day. It is also filled with great stories about lighthouses, amazing lighthouse keepers and their heroics along with a smattering of technical information about how lighthouses work. It is a great read and I highly recommend it.
