Bohm--every Mozart lover should have it
Bohm's Mozart is justly legendary: well recorded not only for its time but anytime. And the performances are superb. It's a must for any Mozart lover.

Why not give Haydn his due?
Too many people, even lovers of classical music, tend to ignore Haydn. Maybe it's because he was played too much during and immediately following his lifetime; maybe it's because he didn't did at 35 (Mozart) or go deaf (Beethoven). Whatever the reason, David Hurwitz successfully remedies people's ignorance of the Father of the Symphony (as well as the string quartet and maybe the piano sonata) in this well organized and thorough book. Give it a try!

Ehnes' Superlative Mozart
Delightful concertos written by Mozart before he turned 20. Well, that figures, but James Ehnes plays them to perfection. I simply find myself captivated and wanting hear more.
