Stunningly good
I have been waiting to get this book at a reasonable price for 9 years. I first saw it in the War Remnants Museum in HCMC, but as I was travelling light couldn't purchase it.
Upon returning home I discovered it had been required reading at some US universities and was extortionately expensive. I once also saw it for a reasonable price in a second hand bookshop in Lewes, Sussex, but the shop was closed and when I returned it had gone.
This is quite simply a stunning book. Like the photographs it's beautiful and haunting. The words written by journalists that covered these conflicts that accompany the stunning photography add in every way to what we are seeing.
This is not just a book, it is an homage by friends and colleagues to the bravery of those that paid the ultimate price to show the world the true horrors of these theatres of war.
