you cannot expect the supplier to be an expert on your particular usage....read the manufacturers specs carefully before buying!
The term 'Long Throw' is a relative one. IF you are expecting to project the image over a long distance you will find that it is far too big for any normal screen. I was just able to keep a 4:3 film dvd image inside an 8" wide screen at a projection distance of 27' whereas I was hoping to set the projector back at 36' so that the audience would all be in front of it. To be a 'Real' long throw means having a focal length at least 30mm in this context. Digital zooming will only downgrade the image resolution. This projector has no perceptible audio output socket so you cannot access the sound channel of dvd here....you have to get it from the DVD player unit or hive it off from the digital signal on the HMDI cable via an adaptor.
I do not criticise the supplier for any of this....the price was excellent and the service first-rate.

excellent value but poor image quality
excellent value...but the picture quality is very poor, especially 3/4 way through where the unsharp image jumps several times...which suggests that this version was taken from a 16mm well-used damaged print.
