Its a genuine VW part and it did its job
This will potentially save you up to 450 pounds not getting this repair fitted at a VW main dealers...you do have to break the old faulty LED brake light out with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers literally pulling the old one out. And then remove the brass secure bolts from the rear spoiler. Take care pulling the wire from inside the spoiler. I used some silicone to the back of the new LED brake light to secure it for a hour for it to take for an hour with tape. Just ensure you firmly press the new LED light until you hear it click because there is still a plastic clip that does secure it well.
