Indispensable tool for spring bar insertion
It is a relatively inexpensive but indispensable tool for inserting spring bars easily and without the risk of damaging either the spring bar or the watch case and its lugs, particularly where 'integrated' steel watch bracelets are concerned, i.e, those with close-fitting curved end pieces.
Incidentally, the description should read: 'Sprng Bar Plier', NOT 'Spring Bar Piler'!!

2 von 2 finden das hilfreich The product quality of 'basic' Vostok watches and their movements, particularly the Amphibia models, has improved markedly during the past 20 years. As such, they represent extremely good value for money when compared to many similarly-priced quartz watches, the majority of which do not have jewelled movements and which will always require the button cell batteries to be replaced every few years. Timekeeping can usually be improved considerably by getting a 'proper' watchmaker to put the watch on an electronic 'Timegrapher' to check and adjust those factors that will affect good timekeeping. The great myth about these Russian-built Vostok timepieces is that they are simply cheap rubbish! Well, they are cheap for reasons associated with Russian labour costs and other factors such as being the principal supplier to the Russian armed forces and other government ministries. They are most certainly not 'rubbish'. They are phenomenally robust and utterly dependable under the most gruelling conditions. The 2416B movement, and most of its derivatives, have a continuous history of production going back more than 70 years. You would not not buying a high-end watch with a chronometer-rated movement, but you would be buying a utilitarian watch that has a well-deserved reputation for total dependability and that will serve you well for decades! The servicing interval is a minimum of 10 years and all of the component parts are easily available, especially for these mid-range 'everyday' Vostok watches.
