Hawkwind on the Edge of Greatness
This album followed Hall of The Mountain Grill, considered by many to be their best. For me, WOTEOT is better, the songs and sonic assaults seem more complete in their ideas and the loose concept hods together well. Standout tracks are Magnu, Assault and Battery/The Golden Void and The Demented Man. The Vynil copy can have a great gatefold sleeve. Check the edition of the CD before buying, one mastering is better than the other. Get the right one and you won't be disappointed

The Return of the King
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich King Crimson returned to active status with this album in 1981. I first heard tracks from this one The Old Grey Whistle Test and was immediately hooked by its infectious rhythms and intertwined guitars. I'd never heard anything like it. On purchasing the album I played it 7 times A side to B side and couldn't wait to hear the follow up, Beat. It remains one of my top 10 albums of all time. What you get are 4 top musicians playing together and pushing the envelope with music that you can still dance to. Stand out track for me, 'Frame By Frame' still brilliant 26+ years on!
