Outside temp xmtr weak. Any obstacles will cause to lose signal. Clock in bedroom, sensor on other side of bedroom window, 15 feet max. I put the clock away from any obstacle ie: bedpost, TV on dresser and as long as it has a clean shot to window no issue. Otherwise, it is a handsome clock with good clarity. Really bought it though for outside temp feature. Don't wonder if the batteries are simply weak, I used new Duracell's in both and have the unit plugged in wall.
