Hyundai Santa Fe new Remote fob x 2

I'm writing this review because when I was looking for tips on how to do it there was no good information and it felt like a bit of a gamble buying eBay remotes not knowing for sure if they would work. I got these pretty quick and waited until the weekend to pair them. I was able to pair them with a January 2004 Santa Fe V6 Awd. You have to remove the knee panel under the steering wheel to get access to the programming switch. It's quite fiddly. The switch is not easy to find. You won't be able to see it without a mirror or small remote camera. You might have to make a hook shaped tool to operate the switch. This is the reason why Hyundai dealers say it must be done by the dealer. I reckon that they think that for most people it's just too fiddly. Next time I do it I'm going to borrow or buy one of those borescope cameras. I have heard that the dealer or a locksmith can do the programming but I was able to do it myself. I've heard it can be done by scan tool but I don't have one and never found instructions for doing it that way. When I added up the cost of genuine and the dealer programming fee, I saved several $hundred. These new remotes themselves are complete with internals and batteries. If you have an old worn out remote, you will enjoy these because the buttons work so much better than old ones.
