Great fix for old Transfer Case
Bought this for my 1990 Dodge Cummins project. This truck had an electric 4x4 switch that was also the detent but the switch broke and a replacement is nearly obsolete and costs upwards of 160 bucks. Well, don't need a indicator light and the spring was messes up so if you blew on the shifter is would shift into 4x. Not good. This fixed that problem and gave me the "positive feel" that I needed and also fixed the upper detent as well. Was able to simply adjust the tension for the shift feel I prefer and it was and easy fix...Except for trying to get the old balls out, that took some effort with the case still in the truck. Highly recommend if your shifter is loose from age or if your a crawler in need of a more firm shift.
