Excellent ear pro for the price!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich 4 virtues of a good pair of hearing protection e-muffs are size, weight, NRR, and sound amplification. This set hits 3/4 out of the park!
Size: very compact, doesn't interfere with shouldering my rifles and shotguns.
Weight: Extremely lightweight, even with batteries installed. I've worn them for 3 hours straight and had absolutely no issues with it. If you want to shed more weight, use lithium AAA.
NRR: Very good noise reduction for it's size. More expensive muffs (MSA Sordin, TCI, etc) have less NRR than the Peltors. However, you may want to double up with ear plugs for large caliber or indoor shooting.
Sound Amp: This is where it's okay. There is a noticeable buzz from the amp; more noticeable at higher volumes. However, the sound reproduction is very good and the wind noise resistance is fairly good.
You really can't go wrong with this set. Excellent value! If you pair them with the gel seals, they become even better! Be forewarned, the gel seals sold by 3M do not "fit" on these muffs (seal frame won't snap into place). What you can do is (warranty voiding) carefully peel the sponge liner from the original seal frame and the gel liner from the new seal frame and carefully place the gel liner where the sponge liner used to be. The adhesive backing should still be sticky.
