Super strong and built with quality
I've watched someone use this for years and it held up to some serious use. Mine arrived recently and I'm really happy with it. I wish I had bought this a long time ago.

Emad Onyx 18 works well on 16x18 floor tom conversions
Just bought my second Evans EMAD Onyx for another 18" bass drum I am setting up. I normally use Superkick I's and II's on my 20 and 22 inch kicks but the 18 sounds great with the Emad Onyx. The drums are 16 x 18 floor toms from Ludwig; one is a mid 70s 3 ply granitone interior, the other is an 80s 6 ply clear maple. For resonant heads I'm using single 10 mil Remo heads with no port, and the tension just around fingertight.

Oversized, high-quality, excellent value
The Galaxy line is better than the Tuxedo line. Galaxy bags are built tougher, and solve the problem that Tuxedo bags suffer from: being too snug so the impatient drummer who stuffs a drum in the bag irreparably dislocates the padding. Galaxy bags are oversized so your drum has plenty of room to slip into its bag after the gig when you are tired and just want to get the heck out of there. For example, I can easily fit a 9x13 tom into an 8x12 bag. I even fit a 12x15 drum into this 10x14 Galaxy bag, but it's a tight squeeze. That's fine for storing a drum, but you really want the bag to be loose-fitting for day-in-day-out usage. The zippers on the Galaxy line are beefier than those used in the Tuxedo line. From now on, I'm buying Galaxy bags, but I might also try the Drum Seeker line by Humes and Berg because it looks like the Galaxy line but with a fleece interior. I probably won't return to fiber cases. Drum bags are easier to carry than fiber cases, and for my lightweight, old 3-ply Ludwigs, I can carry my kick in a bag with a shoulder strap, my snare and rack tom in one hand and floor tom in the other hand. Loading in and out is really easy this way.
