Great product, don't go by the gauge though.
I only needed to top up a little bit and the AC just started working. because the pressure was slightly low, the sensor was stopping the system from running. once id topped it up, it just kicked in.
Don't go by the gauge, it doesn't take into account the ambient temperature at your location. At 70f, the refrigerant will be at 70psi, uncompressed, but this is in the red zone of the gauge. whatever the ambient temperature at your location, there is a direct linear comparison with the pressure of the refrigerant in the system and air temperature. so dont worry if it says 'alert' unless it is very cold at your current location.
the gauge would only be correct if you are topping up at near freezing temperatures. ie 40f.
other than that, very good and easy.
