The real thing!

My wife and I were in Istanbul in Nov and our airbnb host, Mr. Olgun Ozturk, told us to go to the Egyptian Bazaar (Spice Bazaar) in the Eminounu section of town and buy Kurukahveci Mehmet Effendi Turkish coffee. He said it is the best in Turkey. We grew to love Turkish coffee while we were there and bought a cezve for making it the authentic way. The coffee we bought was exactly this coffee! Then when we got home we ran out quickly and I despaired to finding the true stuff. But there it is, on ebay. Really great. The value is the best I could find on the internet. Every other vendor is more expensive for this same can of coffee and with shipping the price is outrageous. But on ebay, the shipping is included and the price is right. And this is the right stuff. If you want to taste what real Turkish coffee taste like get this coffee. Also, learn to make it the Turkish way-you have to buy a cezve, the little long handled pot. (Get one that is fairly thick metal, copper with tin lining or stainless steel. The thin metal ones will not heat evenly.) Instructions in English and Turkish are written on the can label. Enjoy. It's a taste of Istanbul!
