Indispensible tool for cutting precise holes in metal (or other substrates)
4 von 4 finden das hilfreich Very impressive quality. Using an inexpensive floor drill press I was able to cut 48 1" diameter holes in 1/4"-thick A36 grade mild steel. All with a single cutting head. Be sure to use the recommended wax stick lubricant (recommended by Hougen). There must be a trick for unthreading the cutter from the mandrel. I haven't mastered that yet, but it's not a criticism. The spring-loaded center indexing / punch-out feature works great. Never had to fish any plugs out of the cutting head. Made-in-USA a strong selling point too. If there is a better way to cut high-precision, perfectly-finished holes in aluminum, steel, plastic, ect. I haven't found it. I recommend!
