Good at the beginning of pregnancy, but don't use it after you've heard the heartbeat once.
It's been a relief for us when we first heard the tiny heartbeat, but afterwards it is likely that you won't hear it everytime, so it becomes more of a stress than a relief. So use it until you hear, so you know that the baby is alive, then hide it in a locked safe ;)
