Not only for glasses but astronomy and photo lenses too
This would be an excellent product if the material it was made from was appropriate but although it says it's soft in fact it's quite a hard shiny polyester like material. and not appropriate to polish optics with; Obviously a microfiber type material which most glasses bags are made from would be ideal as this could be used to polish the lenses and would not be abrasive to coatings.
My use for these are for keeping telescope eyepices in so I don't want to use them as polishing cloths. Ideally a bag which was a little wider to keep larger (30mm plus) 1.25inch eyepieces in and smaller 2inch eyepieces would be brilliant for astronomy use. Having a product offering which included say 4 larger bags and 6 of the current size would be attractive for astronomy lens use. Telescope lens are usually stored in plastic "bolt" cases which provide dust protection and mecanical protection but are very bulky in use to carry in pockets or lens boxes as well as expensive (£2 to £5 each depending on size), Different lenses require different size cases where as bags are much more versatile compact and cheap and provide almost as good protection. The usual hard plastic bullet cases are easy to lose or break whereas cloth draw bags are durable and lowcost and not size sensitive.
Astronomy maybe a smaller niche but every mateur astronomer would have a number of lenses any where from 4 to 15 abd also 2 to 10 filters so they would need multiple bags and size is flexible with bags so this maybe an attractive market too.
These bags are well made and so far have been durable and not frayed or split.
