Great recordings and easy navigation.
The recordings on this book are first rate. You can clearly hear the chosen birdsong and it is usually repeated several times. Also, the navigation is good, getting between songs. Already my husband and I have enjoyed learning a new birdsong each day and we can't wait to share it with our grandchildren.

Eye-Opening
Everyone should be required to read this well-written and well-researched book. The epidemic of mental illness is traced from it's early roots, to the redefining of specific mental conditions, to the epidemic that we find ourselves embroiled in today. Robert Whitaker has taken the time to do the deep research so that we can all step back and see the big picture of where we are headed. No doubt, everyone knows someone who is struggling with some mental condition--I know several--and having this knowledge gives us more options for a healthier, and more well-balanced life. Sure, it is easy to medicate and feel that we have taken care of our loved one, but is that best for them? Does it give them a better quality of life? Does it lead to better interactions with their friends and family and better long-term outcomes for their lives? These are some of the questions Whitaker takes on in this book, and I am glad he did.
